Verified by Visa is a free password protection service that helps ensure only you can use your CIBC VISA card to make purchases online at participating merchant sites. By working together, CIBC and Visa are providing you with added security when you shop online using your CIBC VISA card.

By registering now, you'll avoid the need to sign up in the middle of your next purchase at a Verified by Visa participating merchant site. This means you'll have uninterrupted access to online shopping, backed by the added security of your personal password. Your new password will also allow you to view your Verified by Visa transactions online.

To avoid any delays or interruptions when shopping online, remember to register all of your CIBC VISA cards and advise any supplementary cardholders sharing your VISA account to do the same.

2. You will be prompted to enter your CIBC VISA credit card information
3. Choose and confirm your Verified by Visa password and click "Submit"

Or register the next time you shop online at one of the Verified by Visa participating merchant sites. Either way, you'll have your password in seconds.

You will need to register all of your eligible CIBC VISA cards that you wish to use to shop on-line at participating Verified by Visa merchants. Don't forget to have any authorized users on your account also sign up for Verified by Visa and set up their own personal password.

Each supplementary cardholder who shares any of your CIBC VISA accounts must register separately for a personalized Verified by Visa password to ensure uninterrupted access to online shopping.

In our commitment to maintain the safety and security of online shopping, CIBC will require that all online CIBC VISA purchases use Verified by Visa at participating merchant sites. If you do not have a Verified by Visa password, you will not be able to complete online transactions at enabled sites.
